Natures Treasure Cove has evolved.....

It's been a while since my last post, but I've been busy working with other talented people and in doing so will be showcasing their craftsmanship on this site as well as selling their products.
There is a fairly new Facebook Page for Natures Treasure Cove. On the page you will find the shop tab. You can click on the shopping cart and you will be able to shop for handcrafted items that we have posted using your PayPal account. It's very easy. Please know that a lot of the items that will be listed will be one of a kind or that there might only be one of said item. But check often as items can be re-listed as they sell them and we make more.
Right now you'll find my handcrafted fringe earrings listed, there are several pairs in different colors, these I call Silver Moon Fringe, made with silver lined seed beads, bugle beads and very pretty iridescent fire polished beads. Others are available in pink, green, amber and jet black. Go check them out.

I believe the colors of summer make me the happiest. I've been making lots of different things the spring beaded bracelets, earrings and of course my stained glass pendants and I've added wine glass charms to my inventory. There are two shows that I've been working towards, first was this past weekend called the  Raiders & Invaders Event in Leonardtown Maryland. So I had to do some snooping around to come up with something to make and decided on vintage look earrings. Last week was spent making earrings that have a bit of a vintage look but still have a modern twist for people to be able to wear them with toady's fashions. This event was highly publicized but it really didn't draw the crowd that was expected by the promoters. I didn't have many sales but I got very good feed back on my new setup and I was able to tell folks about our shop and where we are located and gave them info to get to my  Facebook Page so hopefully they will come looking for me at a later date or they will simply go like my Facebook page I'm trying to build the number people who like my Nature's Treasure Cove.

So now, this weekend I'll be at the Leonardtown Crab Festival, this will be my third year to do this event but the first time going in with my jewelry. I'm going to have lots of crab and flip flop charms and everything in pretty colors of the beach and summer.
I took the day off yesterday to relax and clear my mind isn't that what your supposed to do on Sunday,  so today it's back to work , oh what will I make first. Have a good week.

Natures Treasures...

Natures Treasures are all around us. Every day things we take for granted like glass for instance starts in nature coming from sand. Hard to believe that window you look through every day is processed from sand. Silicon dioxide aka sand, and other additives combined at extreme high temperatures make glass. And aren't you glad someone invented it, I can't imagine life without it.
In the art world glass takes it's place prominently along side paints and clay or wood. I think working in stained glass is something that fascinates me because I'm drawn to the colors. Taking that colored glass and processing it in a different manner to make glass beads has made up a good deal of the jewelry sales in the world, combined with silver and gold beautiful colored beads can make a statement piece of jewelry worth thousands, or as the crafter will use beads, stitched together in a long time honored pattern to make a piece of jewelry.

I have just revisited the bead world again and dusted off my beading tray and needles and added in the new modern components of today's beading hobby. Of course I'm not using silver or gold in my pieces I'm using more affordable metal alloys along with glass beads and semi precious stones, turquoise, jasper and garnet to name a few. I hope you like what you see here and if you are interested in purchasing any of the pieces I've made feel free in contact me at
Joyces.tole.art@gmail.com  I will ship items only in the US.
